Higher education can be expensive, and scholarships make a big difference for many students. There are scholarships offered by the Central Government, State Government, universities, and private organizations, but finding reliable information isn’t always easy.
Has anyone here received a scholarship? How did you find it, and what was the application process like?
Yes, I filed an RTI last year to seek information about a civic issue in my area.
The most important thing is to keep your application clear and specific. Mention exactly what information you’re requesting and avoid asking broad or opinion-based questions. Also, make sure to send the application to the correct Public Information Officer (PIO) of the concerned department.
The process was straightforward, and I received a response within the prescribed timeline. Knowing your rights under the RTI Act can help you access public information in a transparent and lawful manner.
In my opinion, improving drinking water facilities and village roads should come first.
Many villages have made progress, but there is still a need for better drainage, reliable street lighting, and stronger internet connectivity. These improvements would benefit students, farmers, local businesses, and healthcare services.
Regular Gram Sabha meetings and active participation from residents can also help ensure that development projects reflect the actual needs of the community.
Agriculture is the primary source of livelihood for many families in Jharkhand. While farmers are adopting better seeds and modern farming methods, challenges like irregular rainfall, irrigation, storage facilities, and market access still affect productivity and income.
What changes do you think can help farmers earn better and make agriculture more sustainable in the state?
I think the future of the steel industry lies in modernization and skill development.
As companies adopt advanced manufacturing technologies, there will be increasing demand for skilled technicians, engineers, automation specialists, and digital professionals. At the same time, local MSMEs should be encouraged to become suppliers and service providers for the steel sector.
If industry, educational institutions, and the government work together to develop skilled talent, Jharkhand can strengthen its position as one of India’s leading steel hubs while creating more employment opportunities for local youth.
For the past few days, the water supply in our locality has been irregular. Some mornings, the municipal supply arrives much later than usual, while on other days the pressure is so low that overhead tanks don’t fill completely.
I know the government is expanding drinking water infrastructure through the Jal Jeevan Mission and other state projects, but I hope maintenance of existing pipelines also receives equal attention.
Is anyone else facing similar problems?
