Our area has improved compared to last year, but drainage remains a major issue.
Even a short spell of rain causes drains to overflow because they aren’t cleaned regularly. If municipal authorities cleaned drains before the monsoon and residents avoided throwing plastic waste into them, many flooding problems could be prevented.
Everyone has a role to play in keeping the city clean.

I think one of the biggest challenges is public participation.
Dustbins are available in many places, but some people still dump waste in open spaces. This not only creates foul smells but also attracts mosquitoes and stray animals.
If residents report overflowing bins and illegal dumping with photos and exact locations, municipal teams can respond much faster.
