Latehar is known for its forests, wildlife, mineral resources, and tourist attractions like Betla National Park and the Palamau Tiger Reserve. The district has great potential in eco-tourism, agriculture, forest-based industries, and mining.

I believe improving road connectivity, healthcare, education, and tourism infrastructure can create more employment opportunities while preserving the district’s natural heritage.

What do you think should be the top priority for Latehar’s development?

I think eco-tourism and skill development can bring long-term benefits to Latehar.

If facilities around tourist destinations continue to improve, local people can find employment through homestays, guiding services, transport, handicrafts, and hospitality. At the same time, better schools, healthcare facilities, internet connectivity, and support for farmers and small businesses would help improve the quality of life across the district.

Development should focus on creating opportunities while protecting Latehar’s forests and wildlife.
