I’ve been preparing for government exams through self-study for the past six months. There are plenty of free resources available online, but sometimes it’s difficult to stay consistent without proper guidance.
I’m planning to appear for SSC CGL and Railway recruitment exams next year. Has anyone here cleared a competitive exam through self-study? I’d love to hear your experience.

I think self-study works well if you’re disciplined.
I prepare for JSSC exams and follow a daily schedule. I study for about 5–6 hours, solve one mock test every Sunday, and spend time reviewing my mistakes.
The biggest challenge isn’t the syllabus—it’s staying motivated over a long period.
